Each year our parishioners step up to the plate in their generosity to the Annual House of Charity/Bishops Appeal. Already, we have received $168,848 in cash and pledges from 514 families and individuals who have made a contribution. In most cases those who have given in the past have increased their pledge and many new contributors are added to the list. What a wonderful response and how generous our parishioners truly are. The House of Charity Appeal continues and it is our goal here at St. Charles Borromeo Parish to reach the $200,000 mark. We can do it if everyone would be so kind and Lend a Hand and Change a Heart. It is up to all of us to make it happen.

St. Charles Borromeo Parish has consistently beaten the goal set for it by the House of Charity/Bishop’s Annual Appeal since the year 2000, which is based on the annual Offertory collection total, not by how well we did against the previous year’s goal.. This year the goal is $145,000.

Due to the generosity of our parish families, in 2010, 591 of 2575 registered families contributed $187,000. Our total increased % over 2009.

Our “parish” goal for 2010 is $200,000 from more than 650 families If every family that contributed in 2010 were to contribute an extra $25, we would surpass the $200,000. But the Appeal is about all of our parish families helping those less fortunate, not just 25% or so. These are achievable goals.

Most assuredly, we are even capable of reaching $225,000 if more families were to participate and consider giving at one of the recognition levels that have been developed for the parish. Those levels of giving are:
