Education and Faith Formation

Adult Faith Formation Ministry Committee of 3-5 members who collaborate with the pastoral associate to plan and promote ongoing educational and formational opportunities which will  call and prepare adults to become and act as disciples of the Lord , deepen their relationship to Jesus, and promote and support active membership in our Parish Community.  Contact: Rosalind Edman, rozedman@verizon.net , 610-442-2505 cell

 

Bible Study Group/Ministry (Adult) meets to study, learn and reflect on God’s loving message contained in Sacred Scripture. The group creates a supportive environment with the assistance of the Holy Spirit where members share their thoughts, feelings, and insights to support one another in their faith journey. The members seek to deepen their relationship with Jesus Christ through the study of Scripture within the structure of the teachings of the Catholic Church. Both day and evening sessions are offered. Camp Joy is a once a year summer Bible School experience.  We welcome children from ages 3 - 10 to participate.  This usually takes place the last week of June or the 2nd week of July. Volunteer counselors welcome.  Contact: Mary Ann Exler, maedre@comcast.net, Parish Office: 856-629-0411

 

Preparing to Live in Love (Marriage Prep) is a Diocesan sponsored preparation program for engaged couples planning to be married in the Catholic Church. The couples, under the guidance of the facilitators from our parish or other parishes and a priest moderator, explore important topics such as communication, sexuality, family planning, problem solving, and life style expectations. Religious Education (Grades 1-8) CCD is conducted all year round for grades one through eight. Our programs strive to educate our children in the essentials and beauty of the Catholic Faith while nurturing their sense of belonging to our Parish Community through liturgy, fellowship and participation in various activities and service work. This is a family-based program in which whole family involvement in projects, liturgy, and education are requirements of the program.  Volunteer teachers welcome. Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) provides instruction and preparation for those in need of Baptism, those who were baptized in another Christian tradition and who desire to become Catholic, or those baptized Catholic who are in need of Confirmation and Holy Communion. Parishioners can participate in this ministry in various ways. They welcome the newcomer to our community at Mass and at social and service activities, are willing to share their personal faith stories, explore the meaning of the Gospel in daily life, and teach the doctrines and lessons of the Catholic faith. They have the attributes of being good listeners and can keep confidences. Sunday Pre-school classes for children ages 3 through 5 are held during the 11:00 a.m. Mass from October to May at the CCD Center. Advance registration is required.
